£1000 DAMAGES
COMPENSATION AWARDED

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
In the Arbitration Court, Louisa Jane Saint-Meret, a widow, claimed compensation from Charles Bcgg and Co., Ltd.. music dealers, of Christuhureh. She alleged that her late husband's death from heart failure was due to strain received while shifting pianos in the course of his employment by the defendant company.
The Court awarded ±'1000 damages, holding that there was direct evidence to prove the claim.
