At the annual winter sale of. thoroughbreds at Trentham next Tuesday, Wright, Slephensou, and Co., Ltd., will submit a catalogue including the whole of Mr. S. J. Gibbons's stluct stud, descended from the grunt Advance marc,. Kquitas, with the exception of a colt by Hunting Song from JSlnrtiuneUe, retained for the January sales, lv view of the scarcity of highclass brood mares that have been successful in throwing stnyers, the opportunity of seeming these should appeal to breeders.

Among the horses to be sold are three daughter of Kquitiis—Qnilress, Martiancite, and Equkunt. Oratress won the New Zealand Cup and Wellington Cup (dead-heat). Her daughter, Oratrix, also ■won the New Zealand Cup, and ran second in 'the A.J.C. Metropolitan Handkap, and her son, Concentrate, won both St. Legers, the Auckland and Wellington Cups, and was second'in the:last New Zealand Cup.

Also catalogued are Mr. G., U. Laimbeer's brood mare Suuspot, foajed in Ml 9 and by Pet-amors: from the imported Sunstar mare. Sundust, and also a; yearling filly by Leighton from Sunspoijl. Catalogues are now available frym the auctioneers, who are prepared to, accept further entries. The sale will commence at the Trentham Stables at 1.45 p.jn.
