DAIRY PRODUCE PRICES
Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Co. report that rates of advances for July remain unchanged at lOd.per lb butter, 4Wd per lb cheese. They add that it is pleasing to note the improved tone of the markets, particularly for cheese, which has been noticeably slow for the last few mouths. Buyers have, again become active, and sales of butter in store have been made at Is and Is Od l-8d and cheese 5 9-16 d to 59id f.o.b. Consumption of butter is' being well maintained, and the prospects for the future look considerably brighter over the next few months. . Messrs. Dalgety and Co. are advised by Messrs. Samuel Page and Son, under date of 7th instant: Cheese,- New Zealand, coloured 61s, white 595. Sellers asking Is yer cwt more. The New' Zealand Producers' .Co-opera-tive Marketing Association's weekly cabled market report, from London, dated 7th July, is as follows:—"Butter: Market firm. New Zealand, 112s to 114s; Danish, 118s to 120s. Cheese: Market firm. New Zealand, white 58s to 595, coloured 60s to 615."
