POLICE SCEPTICAL

(Special to "The Evening Post.")

AUCKLAND, This Day.

Commenting on the published report, police officials view with scepticism the alleged sandbagging of a woman on Sunday evening. Having made inquiries the detectives are of opinion that the woman received her injury by a fall. Inspector Hollis states that there has not been a sandbagging case in Auckland for 30 years. There was not a tittle of evidence to, show that sandbags were used in this or the other cases reported. Investigation of recent cases showed that several had been duo to hysteria. Only a few weeks ago a young Epsom woman alleged that her house had been ransacked, but aftor"SYji.rrls confessed that she herself .was responsible for the disorder.
