NEW ZEALAND'S TROUBLE
PEOPLE MUST DO MORE
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post") CHBISTCHUBCH, This Day. "The Government has for a long time been doing too much for the people of this country, and if anything of the kind is wanted, the cry is 'go to the Government,'" said Mr. G. T. Weston last night, in addressing a meeting at which a Canterbury Eegiment Association was formed. He added that the Government, in laying down the new military system, had in a way given the people a chance to help themselves. As citizens, they must do more than ask the Government for.everything. The new system might be a good thing for citizens generally, for it might teach thorn to bo more self-reliant.
