SAILORS FRIEND SOCIETY.

Thursday's concert given before a crowded, audience by Mesdames Fildes and Petlie at the Sailors' Friend Society, was of a high standard, and was received with many cheers from the men, who were favoured with encores. The performers were Mesdames Petrie, Harper. Misses Iris Trim, Audrey May, E. Oldbury-Jones, A. D. Bain. M. Mutter, and Messrs. H. K. Harper, K. Small, H. Williams, N. Kenley, and Master Brian Petrie. Mrs. Petrie was at the piano. Refreshments were fully enjoyed. Prizes for the competitions were provided by Mrs. Hayes, and were won by the Jonic and other ships in port.
