FIRE AT FEILDING

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) FEILDING, This Day. , A two-story block at tho corner of Manchester and Fergusson streets was gutted by fire this morning. The building was of wood. The upstairs portion was unoccupied, and there were three empty shops on the ground floor. The fire started in premises occupied by M'Ewen, electrician. This, with two adjoining shops (Chadwick, costumier, and Taylor, a sweet shop) were completely destroyed. The brigade concentrated their efforts on preventing tho spread of the fire, and they were able -to Stop it entering the adjoining block, though only wooden walls separated the two. " . *;
