TRAINING COLLEGE WIN.

Played at Prince .of: Wales Park, the match between Training College and Old Boys resulted in a win for the former team by 10 points to 8. In the first half Old Boys played with the wind in their favour. Several passing bouts were organised in an attempt to break down the Training College defence, but these'failed and it was not until a forward rush led by Duncan and Blakeiey brought Old Boys into a favourable position that Wylie was able to pick up in the ruck and score a try. It was not converted. A passing rush by the Old Boys' backs just before half-time resulted in Gill scoring under the posts. W. Hawker converted. In the second half Training College used the wind'to advantage. Scotney secured from a line-out in Old Boys' territory and after a fast dash scored for Training College. Bryden converted. Training College continued to hold the upper hand, and shortly before the final whistle Bryden scored the winning try, which he converted himself.
