Paitress in a local restaurant, was dis« covered at 7 o'clock this morning_ lying dazed and bound and gagged in an alcove in a draper's shop in Bank street. She had supper with friends at a restaurant last night, and it is understood attended a dance at Hukerenui, twenty; miles distant.
It is stated that the victim conversed with a friend at 6 o'clock thit morning, six chains from where she wai found.
