PAHIATUA SEAT

DANNEVIRKE, This Day.

A large meting of Reform supporters asked Mr. Marcus D. Smith, Mayor of Dannevirke, to accept nomination as the Reform, candidate for the Pahiatua electorate. Mr. Smith stated that he was endeavouring to make arrangements in regard to his private business, and would give an answer in a fortnight.

The meeting passed a unanimous resolution, to be forwarded to Mr. Coates, that fusion at the present time would not be in tho best interests of the Dominion.
