LINESMEN'S WAGES
Last night the City Council approved the; proposed. industrial agreement covering linesmen . and assistant ■ linesmen. The proposed agreement provides for an increase for linesmen from 2s 2d to 2s 2%d----per homy and .will bring the Corporation employees into line with the recent award of the Arbitration Court in the disputes at Dunedin and Auckland. The new agreement jsto.remain-in force for a period of 12 months from Ist July, 1931, and to be subject to the Court's 10 per cent, reduction, the union receiving the right to appeal. .--. - ■;.■ -..- . ." ■. : '." - ■.-• .'
