A PREVALENT CRJME v

On a charge of. breaking and entering and theft, J>hn Albert' Lawlor, aged 22, was sentenced by Mr. Justice MacGregor in tho Supremo Court yesterday to six (months' imprisonment.

Mr. W. E. Leicester said that Lawlor was a married man with one young child, and the fact that he had* been unemployed had contributed to the commission, of the offence. He had not previously been in trouble. His Honour said ( the difficulty was that Lawlor had pleaded guilty to a crime that was very prevalent, and he 'did not think ho would bo doing right to grant probation.
