"NO NEED TO WORRY"
TEACHERS' SUPERANNU-
ATION
(Special to "Tho Evening Post.")
AUCKLAND, This Day.
Further reference to the position of tho Teachers' Superannuation Fund was made at a meeting of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Educational Institute, when Mr. F.. A. Garry, a member of tho Superannuation Board, was criticised for the recent announcement regarding tho serious state of the fund, made at a gathering of Auckland teachers last week. • Mr. Garry said that if the present position continued tho fund would practically cease to exist in fifteen years. ; "Since making the position public, I have been besieged with letters and calls from perturbed teachers," said Mr. Garry. "No one need worry unduly about tho fund. I am sure some waywill be found of getting over the difficulty." There was, he said, no danger of pensions not being paid to teachers retiring within the next few years.
