RAIN BRINGS DOWN SLIPS
The heavy driving rain yesterday .afternoon and last night brought down a number'of slips from banks' and cuttings in various parts of the city, but, fortunately, none was very large. In the Waclestown district several partial road, blockages occurred and a fairly I heavy fall also came down in Karoa road, near the Karori tunnel, but traffic was able to pass without difiicultv.
