' The island steamer, La Perouae, is reported to be stranded on a roof' near Noumea, but is in no immediate danger. There arc .40 Sydnoy passengers aboard. It. is expected that the vessel will float off at high tide. ; ; . ■! (Boceived 19th June, 10 a.m.) i SYDNEY, This Day. Advice has been received that tlio steamer La Perouse has been refloated after being ashore twenty-four hours on Amedeo Island. The vessel has readied Noumea. ■ The La Perouse is a French steamer of 4885 tons, owned by the Mossagories ■Maritimes, and regularly engaged in the service between Sydney, New Caledonia, and the New Hebrides.
