EFFECT IN BY-ELECTION
PRIMARY POLL REVERSED

SYDNEY, This Day.
The Upper Hunter' by-clcetion resulted in. a win for Mr. Malcolm Brown, Independent Country Party candidate. Mr. A. M'Mullen, Nationalist, polled over 1100 more primary votes than Mr..Brown, but the latter secured 90 per cent, of the Labour candidate, Mr. Forsyth's, second preferences.
The by-election was the result of the death of Mr. Cameron, Nationalist. The'final figures were: Brown 5922, M'Mullen .5494. '. ,
