HUTT VALLEY POWER BOARD
Statistical information for May, 'witki figures to date in parentheses, were prosonted to the Hutt Valley Electric Powejf Board yesterday, by the engineer-generjj. manager (Mr. E. F. Hollands) as follows; Xumber of consumers, 52 (10,558); ranges, 11 (1378); Wiitor heaters, 0 (1187). Th« connected"'load was 225 k.w. (37,324), made up of light, 2G (4721); heat, ISJ (25.446), and power, U (7137). Units registered for the month totalled 1,887,850, and the maximum demand was 4548 k.v.a. at 5.35 p.m. on Thursday, 28th May, at .956 power factor. During the month the board's motor vehicles ran 13,204 miles, and used 726 gallons of benzine. ' 7
The board approved of the construction of a new- sub-station on it's 'property at Gracefield road, the building to be steel framed, covered with galvanised iron.
