The pleasan-t evening concluded with supper and the singing, of the National Antlicm, . : ' 100 Guineas a Week. ; It is claimed that the Dorchester Hotel, which has just been built on the site of Old Dorchester House in Park lane, is^tho most luxurious in the world (states a London1 writer). It cost a. fortune to build, and it: rears its proud head far above the' other buildings of Park lane.. It.is noisoless.■'. . Consequently no matter how heavy the footsteps they tread silently, and when the door is shut the guest is in a quiet "room. Thp "windows look- over the park, so little noise will comb that way. Tho rooms are exquisitely" furnished and finished. The furniture is modern and' beautiful,-and the very best of everything has been used.
