(To tho Editor.) Sir,—The Prime Minister had done quite a_lot to bring down wages. At the same time railway and bus fares have increased, duty on articles imported have increased, the fees at St. Helens Hospitals have increased. What the public want to know is: What is the Government going to do to bring down the cost of living? Will the Government lower the cost of electric power supplied to power boards, etc., lower the cost of State coal, railway and bus fares, the cost of all service supplied by the Government? Place before the House during the session a rent restriction Bill, and take the necessary action to ensure that the 10 per cent, is passed on to tho public?—l am, etc., ELECTOR.
