UPPER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL

The fortnightly meeting of the Upper; Hutt Borough Council was held last night. The Mayor (Mr. A. J. M'Curdy) presided,and there were also present Councillors T.. R. Jameson, A. Howell, F. P. Keys* J. Blewman, M. H. Hood, G. H. Guthrie, and P, J. O'Flaberty. The Upper Hutt Rugby Football Club wrote asking to be allowed to defer payment of-their rent of Maidstone Park td, the council until the end of the season. It was decided to ask the club to endeavour to. make an offer by the end of: July. If that could not be done the council would consider the matter again..
