MYSTERIOUS EXPLOSION
A mysterious explosion occurred in the doorway of the shop of Mr. H. J. Freeman, jeweller, at 13, Manners street, about 8.30 on Saturday night. The wooden door of the shop was damaged, but the windows on cither side were not even cracked. A largo crowd quickly gathered, but the perpetrator of the deed escaped. None of the stock was taken. Detectives are inquiring into the matter.
