CANADA AND NEW ZEALAND

PRESSURE ON OTTAWA VANCOUVER, 6th June. The Vancouver Board of Trade has telegraphed Mrj H. H. Stevens, Minister of Commerce, stating that the need for arranging a trade treaty with New Zealand is pressing, and urging that definite negotiations be launched before the end of the session of the House of Commons.

"With your complete knowledge of the situation we feel we can rely upon you to press forward toward a new arrangement without delay," the telegram continued. The board also telegraphed the Montreal Chamber of Commerce urging it to suggest a national demand on the Government for treaty action at once.
