TO REMAIN AFFILIATED
WATERSIDE WORKERS' DECISION The Waterside Workers' Federation of New Zealand recently took a ballot throughout the ports of New Zealand to decide whether the federation should remain affiliated to the New Zealand Labour Party, and pay a fee of 9d per member per annum, or whether it should secede. By a majority of 1577 votes, the waterside workers have decided to remain affiliated. The voting was as follows: —To remain affiliated, 2587; against affiliation, 1010; informal, 36; total number of votes east, 3633. I
