SCENE IN ST. PAUL'S
"IN THE NAME OF THE POPE"
INTERJECTOR EJECTED
(Received 25th May, 11 a.m.) LONDON, 24th May. The Rev. J. W. AVoodhouso was about to deliver a sermon at St. Paul's when an inoffensive looking middle-aged man seated in the nave began a declamation, beginning "In the name of the Pope,' continuing with a series of confused references to the Labour Government and the Archbishop of Canterbury. As the scandalised murmurs of a large •congregation threatened to render him inaudible, ho started shouting, causing the worshippers to rise. Vergers and constables seized the interjector, lifted liim struggling from tho chair, and ejected him, while a resourceful organist, turning on the full diapason, drowned tho final shouts of defiance.
