FRAUDS ON THE- DOLE
NEW SOUTH WALES CASES
(Received 25th Hay, 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Two months ago the Department of Labour engaged a special staff of investigators to aid the police in the issue of food relief and to prevent any imposition. As a result of this action seven thousand persons have been removed from the dole list for having practised fraud. According to Government officials, ono man. was discovered to bo receiving seventeen issues of food relief weekly. He used a ear and travelled from one district to another. Fictitious addresses were given, and ho also forged the signatures of various people. ■
