WEDDINGS
A wedding of intoicst to mauy friends took plnco at Kent Terraeo Presbyterian Church recently, when Kathleen, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G-. Loney, of Kelburn, was married to Cecil, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Port, of Lower Hutt. The ceremony was performed by the Jlev. J. Baird, and organ music was provided hy Mrs. A. Mill. The bride was escorted by her father, and woro a charming gowji
of shell pink marietta, her handsome veil having been lent her by a friend of tho family. Her bouquet was of carnations, roses, and freesins. A dainty little girl, Wenna Loney, followed her, dressed in shell pink to tone with tho bride's frock. There were two bridesmaids, Misses Hamilton and Collett, whose frocks were of Princess Mary blue, made in Victorian style with flounces. Their bouquets wcro ■of delphiniums, chrysanthemums, and sweet peas. Mr. Dagger was best man, and Mr. K. Port groomsman. Tho wedding reception took place at Kirkcaldie's Jacobean tea room, where the decorations of pink and blue flowers followed tho wedding colour schomc, with excellent effect. Mrs. Loney received tho guests, wearing wine-coloured marictte, with a hat of the same shado, and carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers. Mrs. Port (mother of the bridegroom) was in navy bluo silk, with a hat to match, and carried a bouquet of pink flowers. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. G. Loney (jun.), Mr. and Miss Cobb, Miss Bitchie (aunt of tho bride), Messrs. J. C. and H. Port, Miss Port, Mrs. Lasonby, Mr. Frank Lasenby (Botorua), Mr. G. M. M'Caul, Mr. and Mrs. A. Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. Skinner, Mr. and Mrs. W. Barclay, Mr. and Mrs. .Carey, Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson, Mr. and Mrs. A. Young, Miss Fraser, 'Mrs. and Miss Young, Mr. and Mrs. Shier (aunt and uncle of the bride), Christchurch, Mrs. and Miss Clark, Mr. and Mr?. G. Wakclin, Mr. and Mrs. B. Griffiths (Hamilton), Mr. and Mrs. Wilkinson, Mrs. Nicholson, Mr. J. M'Farlane, Mr. and Mrs. G. Briggs, Mr. B. Adair, Mr. and Mrs. Griffiths (Hastings), Mr. and Mrs. Hocken (Fe.ilding), and Mr. and Mrs. L. Dalton. A wedding solemnised recently at All Saints' Church, Otaki, was that of Myrtlo Jessie, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Noble, of Bangitira street, Otaki, and Gordon Trovor, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Sathorloy, Otaki. Tho ceremony was performed by tho Bey. G. K. Moir. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr. Baymond Noble, wore a dainty frock of saxo bluo crepe satin, trimmed with fawn georgotte. Hor hat was of fawn folt, trimmed with saxo blue velvet ribbon and she carried a lovely shower bouquot of pink roses. Miss Jean Noble was bridesmaid, and wore a frock of champagne crepe satin with hat to tone, and carried a choice bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers. Mr. Walter Bills was bost man. After the coremony a reception was held at tho home of tho bride's parents. Tho bride and bridogroom afterwards left by car for a tour of North Auckland. The bride travelled in a navy-tailored costume with a smart model hat.
