BAND OF HOPE UNION.
The l!ev. Charles ■ Wicldiam, at one time lecturer and organiser lor the United Kingdom Band of Hope Union, gave an interesting and iiiislructivc demonstration of up-tp-date. methods in Band of Hope work to the', members of the Wel-lin-'ton Union :'at its' annual meeting which ivashold in the Vivian Street Baptist Church Hall. With charts and dia,grams and objects he enforced the value of the visual approach to the minds and hearts of the children. The activity, curiosity, and dramatic instinct of growing boys arid girls were emphasised and leaders urged to exploit these to the full.- Mr. Wickham was warmly thanked for his helpful address. The annual report disclosed good progress both in the development of existing work and in the fos-tn-ing of new Bands.. The Rev. E. S. Hnrlctiess was elected as president of the union for the ensuing' year, and appreciation of the work of the Key. A...A. Armstrong during'the .-past year was expressed. ____________
