"BATHING PARTIES."
"I have-just been giving my dog a bath. He loves it but he does splash. I think that in future I shall have to wear a bathing suit when I bath him. He absolutely drenched me through. ■When I went for my Bwim this morning he came aIBO. I don't usually let Mm come as he has strong instincts to rescue people, but he gave me his paw so piteously, that I just had to take him. But alas! when he saw me in the water he jumped in and grabbed me, and brought me ignominiously back to shore again. He is so big and strong that to struggle is absolutely no use. I don't think that I will ever take him with me when I go swimming in future.'' ADEIAN SVENSON. Hataitai.
