ST. JAMES THEATRE.
"Outward Bound," heralded as "the best ai'ted picture play yet presented on the talking screen," was screened to-day for the first time In Wellington at St. James Theatre. "Outward Bound" in unique in every way. It is the work of the deep-visioned English dramatist, button Vane, and Ilia story deals with what happens in after life. Nine passengers sail aboard on unnamod vessel for an unknown port, there to be judged for the pood deeds and misdeeds of their lives. All are dead save two. At some place unknown the examiner, or judge, comes on board—the trial takes place and all aro punished or rewarded according 1o their deserts. The characters include two lovers who attempt to leave this world by suicide, but fall; a minister from the London shuns, a Cockney charwoman, a woman with a shady past, a lovahle young wastrel, a ruthless unscrupulous ballying business man, a kindly steward, and the open-minded examiner."- The cast includes Leslie Howard, the English actor who created the star part of Tom Prior" In the sensationally successful stage production at London, Beryl Mercer, Helen Chandler, Alison Skipworth, Aleo.
