WEDDINGS

The marriage was solemnised recently, at the Sacred Heart Basilica, Wellington, of Gwendolen Mary, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Rogers, Wellington, and William Arundel, eldest son of Mr. T. A. and tho late Mrs. Lewis, Wanganui. The ceremony was performed by tho Boy. Father Miliigan, who also celebrated the Nuptial Mass. Miss Putnam played the wedding music, and during the offertory Miss Ena Moss s.-tng Gounod's "Aye Maria," tho violin obbligato being played by Miss Ina Callaghan, Napier. The Children of Mary, of whom the bride was a member prior to her marriage, formed a guard of honour from the church door. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of blush pink satin beauto fashioned on simple lines, tho close-fitting bodice having a soft inset yoke of. georgette front and back, and lons tight-fitting sleeve?, Tho full skirt foil in graceful folds from a softly niched hip-yoko, and formed a train. Her pule pink tulle veil was caught across the bnek of the head with a narrow spray of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of pale pink roses and carnations with pink tulle streamers. Three bridesmaids worn in attendance, Misses Beryl and Madelni.no Rogers (sisters of Ihc'bridq) and Mis'; Colin Lewis (sister of the bridegroom). They were similarly attired in frocks of turquoise blue satin beaute, with bolero coatees of lace in the same shade, and large felt hats worn off the face.
