Mosley, S.M., William Baldock, aged 20, was convict.cd"of the theft of eighteen bicycles, and sonteuced to the Borstal Institution for two years. ' ' ■ : ■■ '" Sub-Inspector Oilara said that tho' accused was a son of a South Canterbury farmer. ' It'-,was'his system to steal bicycles-from streets and take them to dealers, where ho sold them. The accused also used .fictitious names. In Timaru he stole six bicycles, and, coming to Christehurch, he stole twelve more, and fbr eleven of them obtained £10 15s froni dealers. Ho had evidently thought tlio whole matter out, said the Sub-Inspector, and was veiy cunning. ~ "" ... ,
