BRITISH SAILORS' SOCIETY.

.An excellent entertainment was given at the rooms of the British Sailors . bociety, on Wednesday, to a very large and enthusiastic audience by the Working Men's Club Orchestra under the leadership of Mr. W. H. Cummins. Encores were frequent. Items of especial mention were the extracts from Gilbert and Sullivan operas and the singing ot Mr. Osborne.- A vote of thanks was carried with acclamation. Supper was served by the young ladies of the society. Items were contributed by Messrs. L. Bevan, Black, Kidgley, Fitton, Osborne, and Wilson. Messrs. Stokes and Parnell were the accompanists.
