The newly-elected Management Committee of the Now Zealand Rugby Union met last evening, Mr. S. S. Dean being in the chair. Others present were:—Messrs. A. C. Kitto, J. G. Roache, T. A. Fletcher, F. Glasgow, E. S. Hylton, W. J. Wallace, H. S. Leith, Kingi Tahiwi (representing the Maori Advisory Board), and A. E. Neilson (secretary). Among applications for matches with the New South Welles team in New Zealand this season was one from the New Zealand' University Rugby Football Council. The request was that a match between the visitors and a combined New Zealand Universities' team be included in the itinerary. "It is customary in all other parts of the Empire for games to be arranged between visiting teams and university teams," the secretary of the council stated, in making the application, "and my council would like the New Zealand University, to be accorded the same privilege."—:lt was decided to reply pointing out that the application was too late. Permission was granted the New Zealand University Rugby Football Council to send a team representing the New Zealand University to Sydney to play a series of games against the representatives of Sydney University. The team would leave on the 22nd May and return on the 16th June. The council is to furnish a «tatement regarding the conditions under which the tour is being made. Notification was received from the New Zealand 'Referees' Association that Mr. G. E. Bradley had been appointed to act on the New Zealand Appointment Board in place of Mr. B. S. Hylton, who had resigned. . ' Letters were received from the Bush district advancing claims for matches with overseas teams in the future and for its referees to receive consideration when appointments were being made for z'epreeentativc games.

Shepherd (all of Auckland), J. B. Gadsby, J. R. Forrester, F. H. Hale, I. J. Hale, F. Keach, J. Crook, X Richardson, H. Owens, W. Barbara (all of Otago), J. J. Shepherd (Wellington), C. Batchelor (Wellington), M. J. O'Malley, F. Lynskey, and J. J. Lynskey (Canterbury), J. B. Curran (Wellington), J. T. Gilroy and C. S. Sturrock (Canterbury). '■,■■' It was decided that letters of appreciation of their work as members of the Management Committee be senfc to Messrs H. H. Sterling and B. M'Kenzie. The committee being agreeable to presenting caps as well as blazers to . New Zealand representatives, a motion was passed that unions be requested to forward the names of New Zealand representatives who have not yet received caps.
