LODGE MEETINGS
Zealandia Lodge, No. 48, 1.0.0. F., NJZ., held its fortnightly meeting at Newtown recently, Bro. C. C. Blakemore, N.G., presiding over a large attendance. Visitors included Bro. G. V. Rudkin, D.D. G.M., P.C.P., Bro. F. J. Jones, P.D.D. G.M., C.P., Bro. J. Edwards, P.D.D.G.M, Bro. H. Dames, P.D.D.G.M., P.C.P., Bro. F. J. Mauger, N.G., and members of Southern Ciobs Lodge, Bro. A. Blair, and members of Cleveland Lodge, Bro. H. J. Rowney, P.G. (Ngatitoa Lodge), and Bro. Mathers, N.G. (Kupe Lodge), and Bros. C. Gandy, P.G., and E. Peterson (Bellevue Lodge). Five members were reported on the sick list, and relativ sick pay, together with various other accounts, passed for payment. A motion of condolence with the relatives of the late Bro. J. Nind, P.D.D.G.M., P.C.P., was carried. Bro. Rudkin and staff installed the folWing officers:—l.P.G., Bro. C. C. Blakemore; N.G., Bro. F. W. Ongley; V.G., Bro. W. P. Duff; secretary, Bro. E. D. Wallis, P.G.; rec. secretary, Bro. J. L. Cairns; treasurer, Bro. H. J. Darkins, P.G.; warden, Bro. J. E. Maley, P.G.; conductor, Bro. R. W. Harvey, P.G.; chaplain, Bro. A. G. Christie, P.G.; R.S. N.G., Bro. H. Hardham, P.G.; L.S.N.G., Bro. W. G. Loveridge; R.S.S., Bro. J. 0. Josling; L.S.S., Bro. A. Broad; R.S. V.G., Bro. A. R. Smith, P.G.; L.S.V.G., Bro. S. R. Smith; 1.G.. Bro. F. Reilly; 0.G., Bro. H. Guyton, P.G. The N.G., secretary, and treasurer were appointed Lodge Unemployment Committee. A vote of welcome to visitors was responded to by representatives of Southern Cross, Cleveland, Mnraenui, Kupe, and Bellevue Lodges.
