not complete. Mr. Hislop led at nearly every booth, but Mr. Luckie ran him so closely that the, result was not definite until most of the returns came in. Mr. Luckie led decisively at Kelburn, Knrori, Sydney street, Adelaide road, Bethune's, and Gualter's (city), and the Trades Hall, but Mr. Hislop gradually dre%v ahead, until at 9 o'clock the issue was practically decided.
