WEDDINGS
The wedding took place recently at St. .Paul's. Pro-Cathedral, ■"-■" of Rita, daughter of Mrs. Godfrey, Kelburn, and John, only son of-Mr. and Mrs. Meadowcroft, Khandallah. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr. Nelson Godfrey, wore a smartly- cut ■frock of alencoh lace, banded with satin. Her veil was 'niched ..with circlets of pearls, and caught at caeli side with; clusters of orange blossom.: She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lilies. The chief bridesmaid, Miss Alma Godfrey, sister of tho bride, and tho matron1 of honour, Mrs. L. Winham, wore frocks" of orange mariettc, tho long full skirts being heavily embroidered. Thoy wore smart, felt hats, and their bouquets of. autumn tinted roses and dahlias toned with -their, frocks. There were also- four small maids, Pearl, Sylvia, and Joy Johnston, and Audrey Mac Donald, two of whom held the veil, which formed • a train. They wore dainty long frocks of orange organdie and poke bonnets, giving an old-world effect, and they carried small posies to tone. Little Gladys STae--Donald presented, the bride at the door of the church with a lucky horse-_ shoe. Mr. L. Winham was best man," and Mr. N. Godfrey groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held in tho palm lounge of the Hotel : St. George, the bride's mother and sister receiving tho guests. Mrs. Godfrey wore a silver grey frock with hat to match, and carried, a posy of mauve j asters. Tho bridegroom's mother .wore a grey marocaiu costume and black hat, and carried a mauve bouquet. When the brido and bridegroom left by car for the north, the bride wore a golden brown satin frock, brown coat trimmed with musquash fur, and a close-fitting hat to tone. .. , . ' .
The wedding took placo at J3t.. Luke's (Anglican) Church, Oamaru, recently, of Betty, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. P.: Reid, Oamaru, and Dr.-Al-lan A. Maedonald, youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. A. V. Maedonald, of Remuera, Auckland. The bride was at-. I tended by Misses Noelcen Reid and Betty Sutton as bridesmaids, with Masters Dick and Jack Scott as page boys. Dr. R. E. Austin (Cromwell) was best man, and Dr. E. E. Butler (Qamani) groomsman. The Yon. Archdeacon Rus-, sell, of St. Luke's, officiated.
