(To the Editor.) Sir,—l quite agree with your comment to the effect that "no private person has the right to manufacture coin of the realm." I "would like to state, however, that I did not mention that "coin of the realm" had been produced. As an indication that the local plant could efficiently mint coin of the realm, I submit for your inspection samples of the half million or so coins-to which I referred. I think it must be admitted, Sir, that these compare favourably with the small money turned out by the English Mint, and it is only a matter of Government authorisation for the design to be changed to that of the coin of the realm.—l am, etc., N.Z.
