STUDENT RIOTS
POSITION IN PORTUGAL
(Received 30th April, 2 p.m.) LISBON, '29th April. A* serious student movement against Carmona's dictatorship is developing in the universities throughout the country. ' At Lisbon students rioted and hoisted the Red Flag. At Oporto the [ students barred themselves in the School of Medicine, and resisted the police. Finally they rushed out, some climbing down scaffolding, which collapsed. One was killed and nineteen injured.
