" The House 'if • Lord* continued its wholesale alteration of the Land Utilisation Bill, introducing safeguards against extravagance, particularly the provisions aiming at x'lacing of the unemployed workers on small holdings. The Lords also rejected the clause empowering the Government to act in the case of default by county councils i» providing sufficient holdings.
