PUBLIC WORKS DISPUTE
"The conference agreed to by the Prime Minister between representatives of the Public Works employees and the Department, has been meeting during the last two days," stated Mr. A. Cook, secretary of the New Zealand Workers' Union to-day.
.-■ "The.prices so far submitted by tho Department have not been acceptable to the men's representatives. The conference adjourned this morning without reaching'a settlement. Cabinet has been asked to consider further the matter. Oil receipt of Cabinet's decision, the matter will be placed before a meeting of the men affected^
