LODGE MEETING

The N.G., Bro. H. W. Miller, presided over the last meeting of Southern Cros* Lodge, No. 24, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., there being a distinguished gathering of Past Grands present, in addition to members. Th« chief visitor was Bro. G. I*. Baggctt, P.G., now resident in Auckland, who joined the lodge 30 years ago. A motion of sympathy, was accorded the relatives of the lat« P.D.G.M., Bro. J. H. Nind, P.G. Sick pay, and accounts were approved by the lodge. Official visits were paid by Kupe, Zealandia, and Maeranui Lodges. The half-year-ly installation of officers was carried out by Bro. G. Rudkin, D.D.G.M., and suite, J follows:-I.P.G., Bro., H. W. Miller;; N.G., Bro. F. Manger; V.G., Bro. J. G. M'Gregor; recording secretary, Bro. Geo. Hobbs; financial secretary, Bro. J. W. Condliffe; treasurer, Bro. R. 0. Andrew. The retiring N.G., Bro. Miller, thanked members for the support they had given him during his term of office. Bro. Rudkin congratulated the new officers on their appointment, and stressed the necessity for co-operation. Replies to a vote of welcome were made by Bro. G. Rudkin, Bro. G IT. Baggett, P.G., Bro. Mathers (Kupe Lodge), Bro. Courtney (Zealandia. Lodge), Bro. Edmonds (Maeranui Lodge), Bro. Havill (Wildy Lodge), and Bro. Dainea (Cleveland Lodge). Bro. J. West was proBonted by Bro.
