PRACTICAL SYMPATHY
The following: messages of sympathy and monetary contributions towards earthquake relief have been received from National Bed Cross, Societies:.—; "On behalf of the Siamese Red Cross Society, I beg to express'our deepest sympathy with the bereaved and sufferers in the recent catastrophe, and at the same time please accept' herewith a draft of £37 10s as a contribution towards the relief funds of your society." . : ■■■.■" *'Profoundly moved by the frightful disaster instigated by the recent earthquake which occurred in New Zealand, we express to you our profound sympathy for the victims. Equally desirous of manifesting our joint liability in this misfortune, the Egyptian Bed Cross has decided to contribute to the charity of the New Zealand Bed Cross by a sum of L. Eg. 25, which you will find in the enclosed cheque.
