PETONE COURT

Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M., dealt with cases in the Magistrate's Court at Petone yesterday. . George P. Hatfleld was convicted and ordered to pay costs on a charge of overtaking another vehicle at an intersection. For cutting a corner Allan Gowan M'Gowan, Timothy Sullivan, Henry H. Wilder, Ernest Alford, Norman Olout, and A. F. Dustin were each fined 10a and A. G. Sharpe was convicted and ordered to pay costs. Fines of £1 each were imposed upon Raymond W. Harland and- Thomaa Waugh, jun., for approaching an intersection at more than fifteen miles an hour;

M. V. Collins was convicted for having driven a car on the Hutt road, Petone, at a speed which might have been dangerous to the public. The question ot penalty was reserved, pending the defendant's decision whether to appeal or not. On a judgment summons Stanley Hislop was ordered to pay N. B. Willia £1 17s forthwith, in default three days imprisonment.
