ESPERANTO CLUB.

_ * The weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club took place on Tuesday in the V.M.C.A., Mr. E. O. Jack presiding. After the enrolment of new members, classes were formed for tuition, and good progress was made in the study of Esperanto. In the second portion of the evening Mr. Jack read an entertaining article from an Esperanto newspaper on the Geisha girls of Japan. This was followed by an address in Esperanto by Mr. Joseph Major on "Historio de la Hungara Ekonomia. Krizo." Mr. L. E. Dust contributed a short lecture, in Esperanto, with appropriate blackboard illustrations, au "La frabrikado de la Elektra Lampo." The concluding item was an original Esperanto comedy, entitled "La Detektivo Konvertita," presented by Mr. Joseph Major and Mr. Bertram Potts, the club secretary.
