There is much speculation in political circles as to whether the Government will have a candidate in the field or will prefer to allow Eeform aud Labour to fight it out. Names mentioned in connection with the Eeform selection include that of Sir James Parr, but doubts are raised whether he could,'if chosen as Eeform's banner-bearer, fulfil the residential'qualifications.
