In view of the economic conditions the Canterbury .Rugby' Union has decided that no representative teams other than senior A should go. on tour outside the union's territory.

The chairman (Mr. A.M'Phail) said tha.t the committee considered that there was a tendency to play representative matches in too many grades, and that the honour of representing Canterbury was" lost through playing in 30 many grades. . . ... ,'
