JOHNSONVILLE SALE.
Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, aud Co., Ltd., and; Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report that the Johnsonville sale was held ! yesterday, being put -forward to enable butchers to.get into their shops earlier. There was the usual attendance ■of buyers, and a good saL resulted. Cattle:' AYe yarded 238' head o£ prime bullocks, cows, and vealers. The quality, of the cattle .was good. Prices for bullocks were on a par with last week's rates, cowa and' heifers were slightly easier, while vealers were dull of sale, prices showing ;a decline. Sheep: The yarding comprised 1423- prime wethers, ewes, and lambs. Wethers met with a good demand, with no' alteration on last week's rates*. Ewes were firm to the extent of Is per head, while lambs were on a par with last week's sale.
