SYDNEY, 20th April. The Industrial Commission has ra» fused the application of a number of employers' organisations for a declaration of a living wage. The argument for the applicants tvat that the precarious conditions of industry and tho discrepancies in wages paid in New South Wales and tho other States rendered the matter urgent. Mr. Justice Piddington said that tha Commission considered that the inquiry asked for was unnecessary, because Parliament already had tho matter in hand in the Arbitration Act Amendment, which had not yet been, finally dealt with, being before a Legislative Council Committee: If the Commission fixed a living rata now, Parliament probably would alter it. ■ ": ; '
