AIRPORT ACTIVITIES

Piloted by Flight-Lieutenant 'V. Somerset-Thomas,'the Hon. J. G. Cobbc, Minister of Defence; flew to Wanganui on Saturday to open the new aerodrome. He intended to return to-day, but the weather conditions have caused a postponement of tho trip. The Director of Air Services, WingCommandor Grant-Dalton, flew from Christchureh to AVellington on Saturday in a machine piloted by SquadronLeadeV J. L. Findfay. With tho Hon. W. A. Witch and Mr. W. J. Poison, M.P., aa passengers, this machine left later, for Wauganui, and. returned yesterday. The return trip to Christr.hurch was to have been ma do to-day, but fJnundron-Leader .Findlay is waiting for the weather to lift.
