(Received 20th April, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 19th April. g. Leo 3793 defeated Boggin 3134, ■winning the amateur championship. Lee has accepted the Billiards Control Council's invitation to go to Australia with Steeples, who was chosen by the council to represent England in the Empire championships at Sydney. Leo is nearly twenty-one, and one of the greatest players aeon in the championship, probably the best amateur ever at his age. Leo and Steeples arc certainly tho best English amatours, and should have an excellent chance of recovering the Empire trophy.
